We're leaving right now and staying half way up. I'm excited!

The last time I made cinnamon rolls, I took the easy way out, and opted for a biscuit-dough bun, steering far far away from yeast. While they tasted great, the texture certainly didn’t appease my nostalgic side insisting on reminiscing the teenage years of drooling over the fluffy Saint Cinnamon buns.

But this time round, to put it simply, I was one happy girl.

 

I need help finding a recipe for a cake for my friend's birthday. I want to do something sort of alcoholic. She really likes long island iced teas, hurricanes and Riesling. But I can't really find anything that sounds good. Most of the recipes I've found so far involve red wine and she doesn't like red wines. Please help. Thank you.

i made these for yesterday, canada day! :D they were partially devoured by my family, and then the folks at my mom's work devoured the rest. vanilla cupcakes with vanilla frosting and red sprinkles, the patriotic colours. :3 unfortunately the photo doesn't do them justice - the red battered half were BRIGHT RED.

i made these cupcakes about a month ago for my aunt's birthday. i've been HUGE on cupcakes ever since i bought a cupcake book. i've made so many of them but they get eaten so fast that i don't get a chance to take pictures! in this, i mixed two recipes together and came up with orange buttercake cupcakes with lemon cream cheese frosting. we wanted to do a cute decoration on top so we decided on drizzled melted sugar. that could have turned out better, but we just need more practice!

Hello all !
I have been lurking around this community for quite awhile not, and I've been stalking all of you and your delicious yummies. >:]
It is also this community that inspired me to bake, for this interest has been simmering for quite awhile now.
So here, my first time at this, Glazed Lemon Muffins !

Last night I was having a conversation with my fiance about... I don't even know what, but eventually it led to martini cupcakes, and I was charged with the task of making them happen!



As usual, the frosting carries more flavor, but the cake has a nice, subtle martini taste if you eat it alone. Not too light but not in-your-face and without that crazy 'Jesus Christ why does anybody drink gin?!?!?' taste. I used my fiance's favorite martini, The Vesper Martini, to base it off of.

I am actually a bit surprised that these came out so well... I really like them, which is saying something because I rarely actually like anything I bake~
